August 10, 2020 I met the Weaver family from Pennsylvania at the Rodanthe Pier for their daughter Erin’s sunset senior portraits. The evening was perfect, the island backdrop matched all of her outfits and made for a picturesque session.
Erin’s senior year is definitely going to be a bit different than planned. She goes to Tunkhannock Area High School in Pennsylvania and her school gave the students two options to go to school two days out of the week or go totally virtual. Erin chose to go two days out of the week just so that she can experience a little bit of her senior year. Her school is practicing social distancing they have to eat lunch with their homeroom and do all of our classes together with their homeroom. Erin is on the school swim team and also loves painting and anything that involves art. In her free time she enjoys hanging with her close friends.
“We have overcome many other tough obstacles in our town, like the 2012 flood, so I feel that we can push through this pandemic. As a class, I feel that we are the most determined to make this work and enjoy it at the same time. Becoming a senior during this time is a little bit stressful but I’m sure my friends and I can make the best of it. I am planning on going to school for nursing, and later on, exploring more of the medical field. My absolute goal is to become a dermatologist, but I feel that getting my feet wet in a couple of other jobs within the medical field will definitely be a huge help, ” explained Erin.
Vacation on the Outer Banks was a little bit different than the last time the family visited. Having to wear masks everywhere and not being able to eat out in restaurants like they usually do on vacation. Other than some slight changes, they still had a great visit and had a ton of fun! Scroll down for a few frames with beautiful Erin and her family.
