Engaged on a Sandbar, Avon, North Carolina, Cape Hatteras Photographer

July 5, 2020 I arrived at Will and Brittany’s vacation home in Avon to document their sunset engagement portraits. The sunset behind the dunes made for some magical moments. Brittany’s sister gave the couple some fun signs to include in their session.

Brittany and Will met via a mutual connection and a few coincidental meetings before their love blossomed. Brittany had met Will’s best friend, Kevin, through high school band years before he ever knew her. They had ran into one another at a couple social gatherings. They were both dating other people at the time.

Fast forward a few years, social media was their eventual ice breaker. On a whim, Will started a conversation venting about late night college classes on Halloween and the pair ended up clicking right away. They spent several years dating long distance between New Jersey and North Carolina but always had the promise to remain together. Finally after graduating college and beginning their careers they were able to move in together.

Now living in Delaware with their rescue dog, Maddie. Brittany works as a school psychologist and Will works as an Emergency Department RN. The OBX is a very special place to Will as have been coming to Avon on family vacation’s for years, the very beach where he proposed to Brittany. Will’s father had been coming to the OBX since he was a young man and it holds a special place in their family’s heart. Brittany’s favorite place to be is on the sand with her feet in the water so after her first visit she fell in love with the Outer Banks immediately.

Their 2020 vacation was all about family, both of their families vacationed with the couple and celebrated their engagement. “With the circumstances of long distances and quarantine we knew we had to make this special event one to remember and to share it with the ones that we love the most.” Scroll down for a few frames of love with Will and Brittany.
