Hatteras Island Family Portraits, Avon, North Carolina, Outer Banks Photographer

Summer 2020 family portraits are in full swing! June 1, 2020 I met the Reid family for a sunset family session at their beach access in Avon, North Carolina.

Their family had been quarantined at their home in Charlottesville, VA since March 13th, and needless to say, they were so excited to get out of town and head south to Avon. Their “stay at home” excursions in Charlottesville included lots of bike riding with the kids (mom and dad taught both their kids how to ride bikes during quarantine!), car rides around town, only two outings to stores and lots of time in their house. They were definitely ready for a change of scenery when arriving in Avon. Deciding to continue their quarantine in Avon. “We love being away from all the stresses at home and getting to spend time playing in the ocean, building sandcastles with our kids, digging for sand crabs and going on bike rides through the streets along the sound. It was just what we needed! ” ~ B.Reid

This is what it looks like to come to the beach after three months of quarantine! Their smiles say it all! Scroll down for a few fun frames with the Reid family.
