Avon Fishing Pier Proposal, Modern Day Green Acres

Stacey and Rose met on a blind date on November 21, 2015. Stacey was a true country gentleman. When he arrived for their date in his pick up truck, he had a dozen red roses and the sweetest smile. To say it was love at first sight would be stretching it, but there was an instant spark. They laughed and talked for hours like they had known each other for years. There were plenty of dates, phone calls, and Facetimes. He would even plan surprise dates that Rose would be unaware of until arrival. All would include him opening doors, holding hands, and kisses goodnight. She soon realized that this farm boy could be the one.

Soon the Starbucks drinking city girl was introduced to the farm with chickens, cows and honey bees. She helped Stacey feed and chase cows, gather eggs and bottle honey…and actually enjoyed it. However, he has had his share of shopping for the perfect Coach bag and suffering through hours at Ulta and Sephora. They have been there for each other in good times and in bad. He helped plan her daughter’s wedding and she supported him through his Mom’s passing all in the same week. With each battle and blessing they have made it through. Time has flown by side by side.

On June 14th their second Outer Banks trip, Stacey surprised Rose once again by proposing on the beach with me there to capture the moment. Rose exclaimed “ I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day.” Stacey planned a magical evening under the island sky to ask Rose to spend the rest of her life with him! Please scroll down for a few frames of their perfect island proposal at the Avon Fishing Pier.
