October 1, 2016, I photographed the first annual Dare2Care OBX Shred Fest. Located at the Outer Banks Event Site in Nags Head, North Carolina overlooking Pamlico Sound. A fundraising event to launch musical events for our Outer Banks Veterans and Special Needs Communities.
Shred Fest will be an annual event to provide the funding for the Dare2Care OBX Music Program, founded By Lisa Brickhouse Davis. Dare2Care OBX Music Program will provide music lessons for folks of the Disability community as well as for Veterans focusing on TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury). Providing healing through music.
The sunset was pretty significant. Punk rock band Fujiwara came on stage right as the skyline turned vibrant shades of orange and pink. If you are able to make next years OBX Shred Fest, I highly recommend it! 2017 OBX Shred Fest will be held on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 20, 2017. Please scroll down for more then a few frames of the first annual OBX Shred Fest. A family filled day of live music, skaters, BMX riders, local food, silent auction, and more.
